Accessibility
Accessible Parking- A number of spaces are available next to the paygate and signposted with blue badge symbol. Please make yourself known to a car park marshall as you enter the parking field and have your blue badge visible.
Accessible Toilets- there is an accessible toilet in the large permanent building at the centre of the showground. Also, in the hard standing area next to the public camping, there is an accessible cubicle on the end of the Portakabin.
Getting around- the site is a mix of hard, gravel roads and grass fields. The majority of the event is accessible to all, however if the ground gets soft, some areas may become slippery or rutted by vehicle movement. We do all we can to minimize the damage to the ground.
Mobility Scooter Hire- we do not have scooters available to hire but you are welcome to hire your own and bring to the site. info@hireamobilityscooter.co.uk have offered to help with this, please make your own private arrangements.
Catering- our main bar and restaurant has tables and seating under cover available to patrons. Outdoor caterers offer takeaway food and benches are available around the site for you to sit.
Seating- There are a lot of benches around the ring if you need to rest. A viewing platform alongside the ring gives a better view and also the opportunity to see an engine close up. There is ramped access to the platform, although it may not be possible to manually self-propel the gradient. We are working to improve this.
To bear in mind-
A steam rally can involve loud, sudden noises and smells. The engines use their whistles to make people aware of their movement and give off smoke as part of their process to make steam. Quieter areas are easy to find if you need some time out.
